Amethyst Cabochon, Hand-Cut High-Dome Oval Gemstone, 24 x 18 mm — One of a Kind

A deep grape-purple oval with a high dome that pulls light through the whole stone. Colour zoning shifts from violet to near-clear at the base, which is what tells you it is natural.

Internal veiling and phantom zoning show when backlit, both normal in amethyst. Surface is clean with a glass polish. Cut by hand.
