Snowflake Obsidian Cabochon, Hand-Cut Oval Gemstone, 29 x 23 mm — One of a Kind

Big, well-defined cristobalite snowflakes scattered across a jet black field — several full rosettes rather than the usual grey speckling.

Two fine surface scratches sit on the black field, visible at an angle in raking light. Obsidian is soft and marks easily. Cut and polished by hand.
