Rough Rose Quartz on Metal Stand

A rough, unpolished rose quartz specimen supplied on a simple metal display stand, averaging 5 to 6 inches overall. The pink comes from trace iron, manganese and titanium sitting in place of silicon in the crystal lattice as the quartz forms.

Colour runs from almost-white through to a medium pink depending on how much of those trace elements a piece carries. Size, shape and colour vary, so yours will be comparable to those photographed rather than identical.
